Flipgrid

If you've not noticed, students love video and photo media!  So, instead of fighting their interest in apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter, educators may consider leveraging this interest in utilizing video for eduational, more meaningful purposes.  Flipgrid has made this idea so easy.  Teachers can push out video, audio, or text prompts and collect student response videos in an instant!  To sign up for a flipgrid account, click here and follow the prompts.

Once the account is created, use the ADMIN LOGIN button when logging in:
There, you will find all of the grids created:
With the free account, teachers can utilize ONE grid, however an UNLIMITED number of students, topics, and responses.  (Read more here.)  A grid code is created for students to access the grid and teachers may add a password for security purposes as well.

Once the settings are defined, TOPICS are created including text or (optional) video (no more than 90 seconds).

The topic can be shared to students via a link or embedded into a learning management system such as Canvas or Google Classroom.  Students will simply click the ADD A RESPONSE button to respond to the topic prompts.

Seesaw

Seesaw - The Learning Journal is a digital portfolio solution that can be used with even the youngest of students.  Students utilize the camera feature on their device to take photos of their work. They simply tap I'm a Student, scan a QR code with the app's built-in QR code scanner and select the appropriate option.

Students can add a recorded audio file, an annotated drawing over the photo or textbox straight from the app.  In addition, saved images from the camera roll, notes with or without recorded audio, web links, and now files from Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive can be uploaded as well.
Students simply tap their name to add their item to their class journal.
Teachers can turn on a new items require approval option in their Manage Class settings window to approve all items uploaded by students.

Teachers and parents can view student work from the mobile app or the website. View this short video to see more.

Seesaw provides parents with a Seesaw Parent Access app (Available in the App Store and Google Play) to quickly view, comment, and like their student's work (if the teacher has allowed all of these features).
Parents can also turn on push notifications to instantly be notified of new uploaded work.

Pricing for additional parent features can be found here.
