MEET-ing your Virtual Needs with Google Meet

Setting up a Video Meeting in Classroom

  1. From Google Classroom, select the preferred class
  2. Click 
  3. In the MEET section, select VISIBLE TO STUDENTS to make the link visible to students

Starting a Video Meeting in Classroom

  1. From Google Classroom, select the preferred class
  2. Find the MEET LINK at the top of the STREAM page or click MEET at the top of the CLASSWORK page
    NOTE: Students can join the meeting as soon as you click MEET (even prior to clicking JOIN NOW)

Copying a Video Meeting Link in Classroom

  1. From Google Classroom, select the preferred class
  2. Click 
  3. Click the DOWN ARROW next to the MEET LINK and PASTE into an email, Google Classroom assignment, announcement, etc.

Scheduling a Meeting from Google Calendar

  1. While in Google Calendar, double-click in an empty space inside the calendar to open a new event
  2. Complete the NEW EVENT form
  3. Select ADD CONFERENCING
  4. SAVE

Joining a Meeting from Google Calendar

  1. While in Google Calendar, click the event
  2. Select JOIN WITH GOOGLE MEET

Starting a Meeting from Meet

  1. From a browser, navigate to https://meet.google.com
  2. Click 
  3. Create/enter a NICKNAME for the meeting
  4. Click CONTINUE
  5. Click JOIN NOW

Inviting Others to a Meeting from Meet

Complete one of the following:
  • Click  and PASTE into an email, Seesaw, Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.
  • Click ADD PEOPLE in the meeting and select a name enter an email address, click SEND INVITE
